Whatever aesthetic was at work in the development of this book was lost on me. I disliked almost everything about it, but most importantly, perhaps, was the difficulty in seeing the clothes. There was something almost creepy about the way they were presented in frantic, manufactured tableaus, draped on puppet-like figures whose distorted features and bodies were alienating. This purchase is definitely not worth the money, unless you want to investigate a failure.
The emphasis here is on window displays, most of which seem rather chaotic and trashy. So if you're expecting to see beautiful fashions, don't look here. There are better books which show Lanvin styles to advantage.
